Happy New Year!
Dear NAWBO GDC Sisters,

Happy New Year! As we turn the page to a fresh year, I want to thank each of you for the incredible energy and dedication you brought to our chapter in 2025. We’ve accomplished so much together, and I’m truly excited about what’s next.

In the year ahead, get ready for even more opportunities to connect, grow, and celebrate each other's successes. We’ll be rolling out new workshops, expanding our visibility in the community, and continuing to create spaces where your business dreams can flourish.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s make 2026 a year of growth, achievement, and, of course, a lot of fun along the way!

Cheers to a fantastic New Year!

President's Message: Building Bold — Members First

Posted by nicolaiev on 07/10/2025 12:00 am

Dear NAWBO Sisterhood,

Let me begin by saying how deeply honored I am to serve as your Chapter President. I don’t take this role lightly because I know the power, brilliance, and boldness that each of you brings to this community. And if I’m being real — I feel that power when I walk into a room full of NAWBO members. It’s electric.

As women in business, we often carry so much but rarely stop to acknowledge just how powerful we truly are. We’re building companies, families, careers, and legacies — often at the same time. And sometimes, we just need someone to look us in the eye and say, “You were made for this.”

So that’s where I’m starting. That’s what this moment feels like to me, not just personally, but for us as a chapter. Because the truth is: if a challenge (or opportunity!) shows up in your life, it’s either because you’re ready to grow or because growth is non-negotiable.

And this year, I believe our chapter is being called to grow. To stretch. To expand.
But not just for the sake of doing more — for the sake of doing it together.

That’s why our theme for the year is Building Bold: Members First.

What does that mean?

It means that everything we do — from our events to our emails to our board meetings — will center YOU.

Because when members are seen, supported, and celebrated, everything else grows:
🌱 Our connections
🌟 Our visibility
📈 Our businesses
🤝 Our sisterhood
🧬 Our legacy

And listen — I get it. Sometimes we walk into these rooms unsure of what we’re looking for. I’ve been there. When I first attended a NAWBO event, I honestly don’t even remember how I got there. But I remember who I met: powerful women who were bold, authentic, and deeply grounded in their purpose.

And most importantly — they saw me. Not just as an attendee, but as someone who belonged.

That’s the energy I want to carry forward.

That’s the leadership I believe in.

And that’s the kind of chapter we’re going to be — member-centered, legacy-focused, and boldly united.

Here's what to expect this year:

🔗 Connection

We’re prioritizing real relationships through meetups, mentorship, and something I call Tenicia’s Play Dates. Because business doesn’t have to feel lonely, and connection is where collaboration begins.

🔦 Visibility

When you show up — we see you. Whether it’s attending an event, sharing your expertise, or simply raising your hand, we want to highlight that commitment. Every month, we’ll spotlight members who are actively engaging — on social, in email, and across our platforms. Because when one of us shines, we all rise together.

📚 Growth

We’re investing in YOU. From strategic partnerships to practical workshops, we’ll focus on helping you grow what you’ve built and protect what you’re building.

Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been building for decades — your membership matters.
Your story matters.
Your business matters.
Your voice matters.

And when we put members first, we don’t just grow as an organization. We create lasting impact. We build something bigger than business. We build legacy.

I’m here for that kind of leadership.

Let’s build boldly. Together.

With gratitude and bold intention,
Tenicia Moulden, Esq.
