We need you! Volunteer to join a committee. We are off to a great start, but we need your ideas and expertise to help us deliver the best experiences for our members. Check out the committee information below and join us! Introducing a new NAWBO GDC benefit for premier members! Member Marketplace will highlight services and products offered by Premier Members. We are committed to supporting our own and recycling dollars within the NAWBO GDC community. See the details below. Lastly, please take advantage of all of the opportunities to learn with our Circle of Learning program and the virtual National Business Women’s Conference. October is for opportunity! The newest NAWBO GDC benefit for premier members, Member Marketplace will draw attention to your business and encourage members and others to use your services and products. The website page will go live early November. To join the Marketplace for the initial launch, please complete this form by Oct. 15th.
Volunteer on one of these committees. Golf — Annual fundraiser to support NAWBO GDC & NAWBO Excel programming Top 10 Awards — Annual spring fundraiser that honors Michigan businesswomen Holiday/ Year-End Celebration — Annual year-end celebration that takes place late November, early December Programs — Plan professional development programs (Circle of Learning, Compass Circle) and Networking (Ladies Over Lunch) Member Services — Leads new member recruitment plan – sourcing and onboarding. Works with committees to engage and retain membership. Marketing — Leads development and/or implementation of organization’s marketing plan. Coordinates social media and PR activities, as needed. Advocacy — Support NAWBO GDC efforts with local, state, and national issues facing women-business owners. President’s Reception — Annual celebration that recognizes the service of outgoing board directors; welcomes new board directors. It is also the chapter annual meeting. Virtual Circle of Learning professional development program will give effective ways to build or update a business strategy to meet goals. Learn more and register. Sunday, October 17- Tuesday, October 19 - Virtual National Women's Business Conference. More details below. Free Conference registration to spark new membership. Everyone who purchases one registration to the 2021 National Women's Business Conference receives one complimentary registration to gift to an entrepreneurial friend—preferably a non-member who would benefit from getting to know NAWBO. If you are already registered, you should have received a communication with a link to provide the name and email of the person to whom you are gifting your complimentary registration. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Please visit Komen for resources and support.
