Dear NAWBO GDC Members,
October’s theme is Ignite, and I want to begin with the spark of a new idea.
As business owners, we spend so much time keeping things moving that our own ideas can end up waiting for “when things slow down.” You know, that mythical week when the inbox is empty.
This month, I invite you to give one idea some attention. It might be a new service, a better process, a collaboration, or a different way to serve your customers. You don’t need a complete plan to begin exploring it.
Our chapter can be a place to bring those early ideas into conversation. A fellow member’s question, experience, or introduction might help you see your next step.
What is one idea you’re ready to make room for?

Enjoy the Summer — But Mark Your Calendars
Hello,
As summer settles in, I hope you're taking time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the season. That said — don't let the slower pace pull you away from us. Mark your calendars now and make it a point to be present at our upcoming events.
I've had the pleasure of sitting down 1:1 with both current members and prospective ones over the past few weeks, and one thing keeps coming up no matter who I talk to: everyone wants the same thing. Connection.
Connection with other women who understand what it actually takes to run a business — the wins nobody else claps for, the decisions you lose sleep over, the days you question everything. Connection with women who've been where you are and can tell you what worked and what didn't. And connection that doesn't stop at the boardroom door — friendships, referrals, mentors, people who show up for you in business and in life.
