Victoria Inniss Edwards has over 20 years of Government experience and has held an array of positions. Assistant to the Mayor function as liaison for Consumer Affairs, Community Departments, Protocol and White House liaison. Deputy Chief of Staff for the Michigan House of Representatives House Democratic Leader; Deputy Director Government Relations for Wayne County, Director of Purchasing for Wayne County and for the last 15 years Director of Wayne County’s Human Relations/Business Inclusion Division.
As the Director of Human Relations, Mrs. Edwards oversees: the Wayne County Uniform Certification Program which includes nine (9) business certification categories, the U.S. Department of Transportation Disadvantaged Business Enterprise /Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program certifications for the Wayne County Metropolitan Airport Authority and Wayne County, Title VI compliance, local inclusion and equal opportunity in contracting, vendor outreach, special projects, contract compliance and the daily operations of the division.
Mrs. Edwards holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan. She has served as a Detroit Public Library Commissioner, Officer Detroit Chapter of Jack & Jill of American, Inc. and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Mrs. Edwards lives in Metro Detroit with her Husband David and youngest Daughter Payton. Her children and grandchildren stretched across the county with Son David Jr. and Daughter in Love Reyna (Maya)in Florida, Daughter Kourtney, and Eldest Daughter Jordan and Son in love Jay (Jada & Jaxson) in Texas.
