Giving Spirit
I was born Linda Sharp. I am the first of three children and the only girl born to Henry and Mary Sharp. We were brought up in an atmosphere of Christian beliefs and well-rounded education.
My father and mother both graduated high school and considered education extremely important. We attended Metropolitan Church of God and I accepted Christ at an early age.
I graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1976. After many health challenges I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Highland Park Community College in 1983. As many people in the metro Detroit area, I pursued a career in the automotive industry.
I met my husband Brian Gordon in 1989 and we got married in 1994. We have a daughter, Briana.
Life and health insurance became my second career move. I loved helping people and started in 1999. It proved challenging and in October 2000 I found an opportunity to work in my dream job for United Airlines. Insurance was placed on the back burner until 2020 when an opportunity to form my company, L Gordon Insurance and take a leave of absence from United. In March 2021, I came full circle back to helping people with their life and health insurance.
It is a joy to know that I can educate people about the different types of plans that are out there. I have grown up believing the Bible is our guideline in how to live.
I shall end with my favorite scripture as found in Luke 6:38 – Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
