Jackie Kallen, known as “The First Lady of Boxing,” is the foremost successful female boxing executive in history. The journalist, author, motivational speaker, boxing manager, podcast host, and radio host. Her life was the inspiration behind the Meg Ryan film “Against the Ropes.”
She made her managerial debut in 1988 and managed her first world championship in 1991, when James “Lights Out” Toney knocked out then-rising star Michael Nunn in eleven rounds to win the IBF World Middleweight title. He eventually went on to win several other titles in various weight classes after that.
She also managed Bronco McKart, who won the WBO world Jr. Middleweight title in 1996.
Kallen was also featured on the NBC show “The Contender” with Sylvester Stallone. Extremely active for her age, Kallen also represents her own skin care line, “Knockout Aging.”
Kallen has been a guest on “The View,” The Today Show,” and many other shows. She’s been written about in publications like the LA Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, an countless others.
