Danette Duron Willner

Danette Duron-Willner believes business ownership is a complete and utter act of audacity and bravery. That was her bio until we encouraged her to elaborate.

As a licensed labor and employment attorney who has led workplace equity and compliance strategies for large, publicly traded corporations, Danette brings a high-level corporate pedigree to the front lines of entrepreneurship. Three years ago, Danette founded Clearheaded LLC to provide a “soft landing for the bold.” Her company handles the “tough stuff” of HR and employment compliance for small business owners—particularly those from underrepresented communities who navigate unique barriers with resilience and daily tenacity.

Her commitment to advocacy is mirrored in her civic leadership, including two terms as a Governor-appointed commissioner for the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan and board roles with the Anti-Defamation League and Global Detroit. Whether serving as a Library Board President or a compassionate mentor, she thrives in spaces where deep value is both added and reciprocated.

Personally, Danette is on a relentless pursuit of joy and counts her role as a mom as one of her most joyful life experiences; she continues to cheer on her son's journey as she admires his academic success as a vibrant college freshman

For Danette, true success is found in cherishing our interconnectedness. She lives by the principle that we are all made stronger by encouraging the potential in one another, believing that our most meaningful victories are those we achieve together.
