Chequita Smith is a Procurement Officer at Comerica Bank, located on the Auburn Hills, Michigan campus and is responsible for the procurement of  non standard  office products  and services.

Prior to Comerica, Ms. Smith attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and was employed at the Tennessee River Pulp and Paper Company in the Purchasing Department.   She began her tenure with Comerica some 35 years ago when she married and moved to Michigan and began a career at Bank of the Commonwealth.  Ms. Smith takes great pride in the fact that she has survived several bank mergers i.e. Bank of the Commonwealth, Manufacturers, and most recently Sterling Bank. 

She enjoys family gatherings, lawn work, and singing.  She also enjoys her current  position at Comerica and is committed to supporting Comerica’s diversity initiatives via  trade shows, networking workshops and other supplier diversity efforts. 

Ms. Smith is very pleased to participate in the Circle of Learning  in an effort to share information regarding Comerica’s commitment to Supplier Diversity and WBE’s.
