Dear NAWBO Sisters, 

Happy Fall Everyone! It is hard to believe that we are in the fourth quarter of 2017. We hope that you had an enjoyable summer. We have had a busy and productive past three months! In July, your GDC Board had its retreat to plan our upcoming 2017-2018 goals and programs.  We are looking forward to sharing our new vision for GDC, which includes a strong participation from our members at large! August brought another wonderful Women On Board event on the Ovation Yacht. If you did not have the opportunity to attend, Go here to see what you missed! Our Annual PARtners Golf Outing wrapped up September with another successful event!  Go here to see this fun-filled event!

And now, we are busily preparing our first Advisory Board Meeting and Circle of Learning in November and our Holiday Extravaganza in December! It is the best way to build relationships with your NAWBO sisters.

And, as a reminder, our NAWBO/EXCEL program is our non-profit arm and a great program to provide your charitable support. Go here for more information on how you can provide assistance to young girls and share in developing their entrepreneurial efforts. First Friday's Ladies Who Lunch~ Friday, October 6, 2017, 11:30 am  Gather monthly with like-minded friends at the Skyline Club located at 2000 Town Center, Southfield, MI. Discuss current events, inspiring topics and industry specifics with NAWBO and Skyline Club members while dining at the Chef's table. $20 inclusive per person. Tonia WilliamsTonia Williams saw the valet parking industry as not only a career but as providing a service that goes above and beyond just parking a vehicle.  The motto that she uses is "Providing a Positive First and Last Impression".  Twenty Years ago, Tonia started as a valet working her way through school and raising three children.  It was very hard work, but it was something that she loved to do. After graduating from Wayne State University with a degree in Business, she used her education to establish her business.   Making people happy and providing the extra customer service is what makes her company what it is today.  The Detroit News and The Michigan Chronicle did news articles on her for her great customer service work.  She won the 2017 Woman of Excellence Award for her service.  Some of her clients include: The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Detroit Historical Museum, Wayne State University, Shinola, Bedrock, Quicken Loans, and many others.  She mentors the youth that she employs believes in giving back to the community.  Tonia's plan is to be one of the largest valet service providers in Michigan.
