Happy New Year NAWBO Sisters,

We hope that you and your family had a joyous holiday season! In December, many of us came together to kick off the “merry” season by attending our Holiday Extravaganza. The room was filled with vendors, great food, and music and many making new friends! (Click here to view our NAWBO Holiday experience!) We are so excited about our 2018 calendar! As always we are focused on programs and events that support women entrepreneurs into economic, social, and political spheres of power. We continue our year of “Innovation” with an impressive roster that provides you the necessary tools to build and encourage leadership and independence.  Our events will assist you in creating long-term relationships with fellow women business owners. Our Circle of Learning will assist in developing both personal and professional growth! You will not want to miss out on these opportunities and others listed in our upcoming events.

One key area where we plan to grow is be more active politically at the state level. However, we cannot move forward without input from our members. Our Public Policy Committee needs to know what your most pressing needs and roadblocks are as women business owners as well as women in the workforce. We have a “Breakfast with the Legislators” scheduled for May. Watch for more information as it becomes available. You have a very strong and powerful voice, do not waste that privilege! The timing is right!  Please help us define what those issues are by answering our very short survey here.
